Good news, XP and leveling up is now back and better than ever! Franz will now dish out XP as you complete objectives, and we’ve built out nice new UI to quickly update your stats whenever you hit an ability score improvement (levels 4, 8, 12, 16, 19).
So what’s the plan for Quests?
Something we’re still trying to figure out is whether or not the current memories system is good enough to keep quests on track. If it’s good enough, we think it might actually be better to go this route as building a quest system adds complexity and can cause conflicting context. So for now, we are not planning on building a dedicated quests system. Instead, quests should be handled narratively using the memory system, and then objective completions will go through this XP system. However, we need your feedback! If you are finding the current systems are not enough to keep quests on track, please let us know and we’ll consider building a new version of the quest system too.
