Hello, I’d like to request a feature which I have noticed seems to be absent from world editing: to make ‘monster’ NPCs non-hostile (when placed at POIs).
When you place a monster creature on a tile within a POI, they default to being hostile with no apparent way for the user to change that, thus far (at least outside of combat). There are cases where I think this would come in handy; you don’t necessarily always want to make a specific character for something like a town guard or horse to have them in your party (they’re background characters).
I’m uncertain about Franz’s ability to alter monsters NPCs in this way during gameplay, but being able to place them in advance could be good for narrative and atmosphere. For example, maybe a specific character you go to meet has an escort of guards/commoners with them who aren’t hostile (unless provoked), or possibly something like a pet dog.
Alternatively, this also opens more possibilities for those who wish to play evil characters/monsters themselves. Wouldn’t it be cool if you could setup your own POI lair with your own friendly monster minions on guard? Maybe your character is something like a vampire or cultist with their own following? Maybe you want to be a sort of necromancer and have zombies/skeletons at your camp? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I understand this might not be a priority, but please consider adding this option in a future update. This way we don’t have to correct Franz when he describes our cat mauling us (actually, scratch that one).
Thank you.
