The game is describing my character as not taking a particular item and leaving... even though that item is already in my inventory

As described im the description. The dried leaves are already added to my inventory, yet the game is describing my character as leaving them behind and setting up a storyline based on a premise that doesn’t match with the mechanical reality.

Besides this, arguably the fact that it added an item to my inventory earlier when I didn’t even pick it up is a mistake in and of itself. It should just put it on the map.
