The Future of Franz

Hello Friends and Fables team,

I just wanted to start by saying that I’m a big fan of the platform. I’ve been playing for a few months now and currently have the Legend subscription for $30/month. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the experience – the world-building tools, combat system, and creative possibilities are amazing.

The only major issue I’m currently facing is with the AI “Franz.” While it’s great for quick interactions, I’ve found that its memory and general performance aren’t optimal, especially when running long-term campaigns. Over time, important plot details and character information tend to get lost, which makes it harder to maintain story consistency.

I wanted to ask if there are any plans for this year or the coming months to upgrade Franz’s AI – for example, by implementing GPT-5 or a similarly advanced system. Such an upgrade would greatly improve memory handling, narrative consistency, and the overall experience for those of us running extended campaigns.
