System Eliminating Blockquote

I’m trying to use > for blockquoting, but whenever I send my reply it always adds \ before it to cancel out of the blockquote. When I go back to manually edit the reply, I can remove the backslash and the blockquote will show up normally. As of right now, that means I h

ave to submit my reply, then go edit it every single time I want to use the feature.
