Starting equipment

When I create my character, I need to be able to have some starting equipment to choose from. I created a Paladin. I had Franz add a Spear and Shield to my inventory. That worked. But I can’t get him to place a starting armor in my inventory. As a Paladin I should be able to get a Chain Mail armor and a Priest’s Pack. Please add a feature to choose appropriate equipment and spells for you Class and Level before beginning the campaign. Thanks.
