Really good game idea, but the bugginess is ruining it

I want to start with the positive. The set up in this game with character tracking, and the UI are superior to other AI games I have played, and Franz is really good with roleplay sections because of this. I especially like that he is stricter with the NPC’s, not making them overly agreeable, he is also good at triggering roll checks for actions (something I find other AI platforms typically don’t do - they are way too ‘yes man’ for the game to have any real stakes in roleplay) This makes me want to keep playing despite the frustrations.

The frustrations: Franz makes a lot of mistakes that have to be rectified. Having paid for credits, it’s super frustrating to have to use such a high proportion of them to rectify things (deleting and rewriting prompts), or speak to Franz about game play(trying to get him to set a context block to prevent future mistakes) - this is especially bad during combat.

Some things that keep happening:

Location updates are not always done, and sometimes Franz suddenly thinks I am back in a previous location (ie I am in a tavern, roleplaying with characters, then suddenly he is talking about a shopkeeper from a previous scene) This is especially bad for combat, as it makes Franz think I am farther from the combat than I actually am (on one occassion I tried to move in closer and was told I am 1073 ft away, he allows me to move into the correct location, but places me on the edge and tells me I used my maximum movement already.

Spell slots are always double deducted with the attack roll and then the damage roll.

Occasionally, processing a new turn accidentally reprocesses the previous turn, this has killed my character more than once because the damage is reapplied.

Franz creates insanely difficult encounters in the first few minutes of the game.

Occasionally Franz will state a spell is not in my spell list, even though it is.

Occasionally Franz will flavor the attack, but not provide a button for the damage roll, and instead provide a button to end the turn.

Some mechanics aren’t well supported (Meta magic options can’t be chosen in the UI, Magic Missile NEVER applies the +1 per dart, If Misty Step teleports my character past an enemy, it triggers an opportunity attack)

Opportunity for reactions by the playable character are not afforded, I tried rectifying this by prompting that ‘I prepare to cast shield as a reaction for the rest of the turn’ but the reaction does not get applied. Instead I have to waste a spell slot pre-emptively and just cast the reaction during my turn.

Occasionally Franz will roll both an attack roll for my spells, AND a DC save roll for the enemy when the spell is only supposed to be a save roll.

I want to reiterate… This game is really good apart from these issues. The roleplay is worth paying for. And I am considering a monthly pass. But these issues immediately take me out of the game and have me managing the DM rather than enjoying a good game.
