Question and feature request

After reading the last patch note that was released I noticed there were plans to work on combat, narration and memory. This made me wonder about something regarding to the planned updates in the current roadmap. For example, AI controlled NPC’s/ Players. I can imagine that implementing something like AI controlled players and giving NPC’s more autonomy to act on their own with each other outside of the player can break a lot of things in regard to memory and gameplay. That’s why I was wondering if it is effective to work on narration and memory before implementing this feature. Wouldn’t it be better to work on such things after implementing such a huge update for NPC’s and AI controlled players?

This also brings me to something I have requested before but haven’t noticed appearing on the roadmap as well as a few requests other people have made which I think would really improve overall gameplay and could probably also improve narration within POI’s and for traveling on ships etc.

Starting with POI annotations, something I asked for a long time ago, I think. It’s a simple image I created real quick in photoshop to give an example. This way franz would know what sub-POI the player is interacting with inside of the POI, since many people use POI’s to create rooms, but that would make it so that franz never truly know’s where in the POI a player or NPC truly is inside of the map. For example, in this image Jax is standing near his tent because he is at the Sub-POI. Franz would right now for example say that he is actually standing with his back against the lamp post near the camp, while he is not there.

As for Vehicles like ships, I was wondering if it is possible to have something like the party system but then for vehicles. A player could add a vehicle to his own vehicle list to show that he is on the vehicle using the same kind of system as is now used for party members. (I know, beautiful vehicle tab.)

Clicking the vehicle tab allows you to add a vehicle when you enter it and remove it when you disembark. On the map the vehicle could act like a POI that moves with the player as long as it is in this vehicle tab. As for passengers, all characters inside the vehicle move together with the vehicle as in this situation the vehicle would act like a parent object with characters locked to its position.

Last I was wondering about mounts/one person vehicles. These could be horses, bikes, mech’s, fighters, etc. This would add a great amount of value for anyone who wants to make a game in modern or sci-fi settings.

I am not a developer, so I have no clue how much trouble these things would take, and I can be completely wrong with my interpretation on what is best to focus on in regard to updates. But this is something I was wondering about and wanted to know more about, thus me asking these questions.

The last updates have been very great when it comes to storytelling and keeping the story in line without too much random things that don’t make sense from happening around us, so I am enjoying myself very much still, so keep up the good work and thanks for everything you are doing to make this AI-TTRPG so great!
