I understand phasing out the quest system in favor of memories, and overall, that is an improvement. But removing quests without providing a UI to track quest-type memories is, in my opinion, an oversight. If only for user experience, the system should be able to extract quest-type tasks from the dialogue and store them as quest log entries. It doesn’t necessarily have to reference or alter them later, but provide a starting point for the player to remain aware of possible plots.
