I don’t know if this is a parameter thing, but the npcs are often only focussed on talking to the player and not amongst themselves. If this doesn’t exist yet it would be nice if they could willingly interact with each other.
Additonal Ideas:
Maybe even update their own relationships like the PC does with the NPCS. This could be further expanded with a tendency to what the NPC likes and dislikes (maybe bound to the personality or alignment). It would make Sense if there would be 2 stats per relationship: how much npc a likes b and vice versa. (and possibly more)
There could be also a maximum how much a character can dislike or like the other dependent on a parameter like alignment, faith and morals for.
