More intuitive relationships with NPCs

Franz needs to be able to intuit more about a characters relationship to an NPC based on some realism. Case in point, I was playing one of the Shopkeepers in the Redemption game and I should know of, if at least by reputation, most of the other townsfolks. The Dr who has a clinic right next to me is not a stranger.

It would be great if we could create these sorts of relationships (familial or other) between NPCs or ourselves, possibly via tags. Or if a new relationship could be added whenever we interact with an NPC. I joined a posse with one of the ranchers, when he stops in my store again we’re on good terms and have some shared history.
