Monsters/NPCs controoled by Franz move more than they should

I saw this once last month, and again a few days ago, and it happened again today:
A creature will have X movement (Let’s call it 30ft) per turn on thier stat sheet or stat block, but when controlled by franz, they often move 35ft+ on thier turn with no mention of taking the dash action and in the previous instances, the creature still used an actiojn, meanining it did not take the dash action.
