Long time User here, who has paid money for the subscription quite a few times.

I’ve been subscribing and unsubscribing for a few years now. I believe your layout and, more recently, the addition of being able to manage part of the AI's context make Friends & Fables, from a design perspective, one of the best AI sites available. However, that doesn't mean it's perfect.

You have 2 main issues right now that are stopping me personally from becoming a customer again.

Firstly, repetition. Regardless of which text model is being used or how prompts are written, the AI tends to fall back on the same writing style and sentence structures over and over again. I know maintaining a large variety of different models would be complicated, but that's not what I'm suggesting. If you could implement LoRA-style writing options or style profiles, it would add much more variety to the experience and might even reduce some recurring errors by letting the same prompt be interpreted through different writing styles.

Secondly, reliability. Franz is simply too inconsistent. He frequently loses track of what he can and cannot do, even with the highest context option available. I understand this isn't entirely within your control since much of it comes down to the underlying model, but from a customer's perspective, that distinction doesn't really matter. It's frustrating to pay for a premium service and still encounter frequent lapses in consistency, especially when competing platforms seem to achieve similar or better results at a lower price.

Finally that brings me to pricing. I understand there are valid reasons for increasing the cost. You're running a business, and your goal is to make a profit. However, as someone who has supported Friends & Fables on and off for years, I can honestly say that the current pricing has become the main reason I'm hesitant to subscribe again. I've considered returning several times over the past few months, but each time the cost has ultimately convinced me not to.

While higher prices and lower operating costs may improve profitability in the short term, it's also important to think several steps ahead. If your customer base continues to shrink, that's rarely a healthy long-term trend. The price has created a barrier for former subscribers like me and especially for new subscribers who dont see all the positives a long term customer does and just looks at the price tag. I'm probably not the only one in that position. I genuinely want Friends & Fables to succeed because I think the platform has one of the strongest foundations in the AI D&D space. But for me to become a consistent subscriber again, I'd want to see improvements in writing variety, long-term consistency, and a pricing model that feels more competitive relative to what's currently available elsewhere.

P.S. I haven't used the application in a while, so some of this may be out of date—although, judging by many of the support tickets I've seen, it seems a lot of these issues are still present. There are also several other problems I could have mentioned from when I was actively using the platform, but these are the main ones that continue to stand out to me.
