This is a future request, not something I would expect any time soon. But since you created F&F to focus entirely on DnD 5e as a baseline, while Franz himself is able to pretty much DM/GM anything given the right conditions, would it be possible at some future point to expose some kind of API for system builders so we could actually customize the mechanical systems?
Like for example the ability to create custom character sheets with different attributes, characteristics, skills and skill scores, special abilities, and other characteristics different from DnD, and places to add cybernetics, Bioware (genetically engineered organs), and other custom semi-permanent enhancements, on top of still having the ability to wear armour and equip weapons. The ability to add possessions, since most characters don’t carry everything and the kitchen sink in their backpacks, would be nice to be able to have a dedicated “possessions” inventory for things like houses/apartments, vehicles, equipment, shops, and anything else a character may possess but not carry around with them at all times.
The ability to define different dice roll mechanics, so we could implement systems like Palladium, GURPS, Storyteller System (White Wolf), and so on.
Franz is amazing, knowledgeable, and versatile. He seems to be able to run any game system except maybe some really obscure systems, but the mechanical restrictions really make it difficult to make anything other than DnD games work.
I know this is a very major and complex feature request, but it would be really nice if it went on the roadmap, even if it’s going to be a year or two before we can even see a beta version implemented. But I see a lot of people are trying to build non-D20 based games already and a lot of requests to add support for various other systems. It might be easier to implement a flexible API and let us build those systems rather than have you spend time on building each and every one of the systems we would like F&F to some day support.
