I sent this text from The Player’s Handbook to Franz:
You can pick weather to fit your campaign or roll on the Weather table to determine the weather for a given day, adjusting for the terrain and season as appropriate
Weather
d20 Temperature
1 - 14 Normal for the season
15 - 17 1d4 x 10 degrees Fahrenheit colder than normal
18 - 20 1d4 x 10 degrees Fahrenheit hotter than normal
d20 Wind
1 - 12 None
13 - 17 Light
18 - 20 Strong
d20 Precipitation
1 - 12 None
13 - 17 Light snowfall/rain
18 - 20 Heavy snowfall/rain
I then did those rolls before I hit the continue button. I chose the custom rolls option and then selected three as the number of rolls. In hindsight, I should probably have done individual rolls one by one because apparently when I do it all in the same roll, it takes the sum of those rolls in the background:

where it’s supposed to be results of 4, 15 and 8 as individual rolls as opposed to their sum. I didn’t know about this though and honestly doing all the rolls individually is a bit of a pain.
Anyway, Franz completely ignored the result of my rolls for some reason and told me that “he gave 3d20 rolls”… except he didn’t. He gave me six intelligence checks lmao.
I think the current infrastructure doesn’t support the idea of a “flat roll” which is a pure roll without any modifiers that is often used to arbitrate random events and such. Which is not ideal, because these things are used all the time in determining random effects.
