Didn't receive gear, asked to equip gear

I asked for starter gear. I received some stuff (pants, think it was robe/basic magic armor and a magic bracer) that I wanted to get equipped. I stated I put the gear on and followed a npc. Franz didn’t give me any of the item in my inventory. After the next promp from franz it was all about following and not equipped the gear. I changed over to OOC mode and asked to equip the gear. Broke franz. While writing this Franz caught up and equipped me. Took over 5 mins though.
