Core gameplay is unreliable and full of hallucinations

I paid for one month of the standard plan to try Friends & Fables, and unfortunately the experience was nowhere near good enough in its current state. The core idea is fantastic and the potential is huge, but the actual product is incredibly frustrating to use. Franz, the game master, gets things wrong constantly. He moves your character around at random, changes your area when he shouldn’t, then leaves you stuck when he should move you. He hallucinates all the time, ignores context, and sometimes simply lies about what happened.

At one point I asked him to give a character some spells, and he just didn’t do it. He claimed he had, but that was not true. If that action is not supported, then the system should clearly say it cannot do it instead of pretending it worked. That kind of behavior makes the whole experience feel unreliable from start to finish.

Generated weapons and items are often broken, equipment gets placed in random slots, and characters forget important things almost immediately. Combat is especially bad: turns get mixed up, some characters act multiple times, and the whole thing feels messy and inconsistent. But the bigger issue is that this is not limited to combat. Almost every message has to be re-rolled three or four times just to get something that makes sense. In practice, you spend 90% of the time fixing errors and only 10% actually playing.

This product feels far too immature to be sold, even on the standard plan. Right now it feels like a bad beta full of bugs rather than a product people should be paying for. What makes it worse is that the idea itself is genuinely brilliant. It has everything needed to become a legendary experience, but at the moment it is all put together very poorly and held back by constant bugs and broken logic.

I will probably come back in a few months and pay again if there are real improvements, because the concept absolutely deserves another chance. But in its current form, it is simply not ready.
