I find that I have a lot of situations where I want to use aliases. My storytelling style often seperates from extradiegetic material - such as the names or descriptions of spells or classes - and diegetic material. So a spell like “Fly” will be recognized as “Fly" by us, the players, but the characters in the world itself might instead know it by the name “Heaven’s Grace” because they believe the knowledge of magical flight is a boon granted by divine winds or something.
It also becomes relevant when playing in a language other than English: oftentimes the locations, lore, spells etc themselves are in English - as porting every single one of those to a different language would be a chore - but I obviously don’t enjoy using their English names right in the middle of a different language. If I try to say 回復 instead of restoration however, it’s not going to automatically be mentioned; and I don’t trust the AI to automatically recognize these two things are the same at all.
I want the ability to give aliases to spells, places, abilities etc.
