From inside a campaign, you can now get changes from the world the campaign was started from, and if you’re an editor of the world, you can also now push changes from the campaign to the world.
For players this means you can now pull in changes from a world that has been updated since you started the campaign. And for world builders, we hope that this makes it a lot easier for you to test changes, as you can now also change things directly within a campaign world and then push them to the original world later.
To access the sync, within a campaign you can click the Sync button which is beside the Add button on all the different tabs (Map, Characters, Races, etc.).
This will open up a view where you can see all of the new entities of that type, and any which have been updated.
Clicking on ‘View Changes’ for an entity that has been updated will bring up a view that shows you all the different changes that will be applied to the campaign or the world if you decide to apply the update.
Please note at this time, when syncing Characters it only syncs the character sheet details and does not yet sync character inventory, spells, or relationships.
As always, let us know if you have any feedback or run into any bugs when using the World <> Campaign sync! In the next update, we’ll make it easier to add and use things from the Workshop.
We’ve added a new collapsible UI at the bottom of Franz’s messages, so you can quickly review, edit, lock, or delete memories. We hope this makes it easier for you to see what Franz is noting down as your campaign progresses.
