While syncing campaign with the world and updating characters, some will give an error

I'm trying to sync characters (updates), but I'm getting so many "The character with that name already exists in campaign" errors... Well, of course they exist, those are updates (mostly class changes). Yet, some character can update, others cannot for some reason.
