Trope to suppress: Once, Twice-

“He drummed his fingers once, twice on the desk before…”

It was really good the first time it hit. After that it has… gotten old a few times. If we could have a campaign specific ‘trope removal tool’ by which we could plop in excerpts we're seeing in a specific campaign that might be handy? Probably obscenely complex, but… at the same time, a lot of the tropes I see recur more within the same campaign than across the board. Also, might help making tracking down common tropes easier, since you could store those in a database somewhere in ‘the big computer in the sky’, and flag based on frequency.
