I don't know how to prove or explain it but it feels overhaul that the skills check are not very optimized. I would like more involvement of skills check outside of combat, needed to accomplish various actions (and a bad or good roll doesn't necessarily means a big consequences, it’s just the results of the performance. For example if I’m cooking, a performance check is needed. If I get even a 2, It will not have major negative consequence, since it’s just cooking. But if I get a 1 a critical failure, maybe the consequences will be more serious.)
Also, there's no skill check involved when we talk to npcs (Persuasion, Deception) directly in the dialogue. We have to do it manually.
