Rolls inconsistent

I asked the AI out of character about how rolls are done and if I could physically roll and give the outcome of my roll and it stated that was totally acceptable. During combat it randomly would decide my damage at times and it consistently keeps asking me to add str to my attack roll as a monk when I keep responding that due to martial arts I am adding the 4 from my dex instead.
