Proficiency Bonus is constantly added to all checks

As explained in the title. All checks, no matter what they are, have proficiency bonus added to them all the time. Not only when doing skill checks with which you don’t have proficiency, but also with ability checks which you can’t even add your proficiency bonus to at all.
