NPC Remains Unknown

I have unknown NPC checked on.

Met an NPC, introduced myself, they introduced themselves, I had to ask Franz to generate

a character sheet. I can interact with the NPC, and have done so, getting to know them rather well and intimately, yet the NPC is still showing as unknown. I pause the game and ask Franz to change this, they state the do but nothing changes and I have no manual way to “know” an NPC.
