Living World

Currently there are only a very few ways to make the world outside of your character feel alive. You can for example tell franz that you shift the scene to other characters outside of your own by specifying their location, who they talk to and nudge franz a bit into the direction you want the conversation to go. But that is about everything that is currently possible, which means that NPC’s outside of your character’s area don’t do anything unless you describe it yourself.

It would be amazing if the world around the players would also change based on npc actions without needlessly intruding on the player. For example, a player has met up with a party that wanders the lands looking for a bounty. They meet the player, ask the player if they had seen their bounty and continue on, making them move on the map as well. then later when the player visits a nearby town, the player notices that the party they met earlier has managed to find their bounty and bring it back to the town and having collected the reward.

This would give the player multiple options like, do they want to go after the party and try to steal the money they now have from their bounty, or help the bounty who has been imprisoned escape, etc.

This would make the world feel more alive and could give both the players as well as the NPC’s a chance to have an actual influence on what goes on in the world.
