Franz switch my character to a npc

During a fight interaction, Franz somehow switched out my character to a npc, with a different thumbnail picture and name, when i ask Franz to correct it or restart the encounter it continues to happen. He seems to fully believe its my character and all he will do is switch the name to the correct name but not removing the npc factor, i am unable to attack each time i try it gives an error as its supposed to be a npc
