Cross referencing Characters throws errors

I noticed that a quest item was still with the quest giver (Ezra) Then I went into OOC mode and told Franz to remove the item from the inventory of Ezra, but he said he could not find the ID. Then I told him the full name of the character but now I just get errors. In my browser console it says it receives 500 responses with the following stack-trace:
